Before we started “school time” the girls had been pretending that one of their baby dolls had a birthday. So they pulled every toy off the shelf to give her presents. Then they became interested in the toy scale and started weighing the presents.
At some point they put on dress up clothes, and Minnie Mouse and a soccer player came to school. We did some dot marker worksheets (mine are bingo markers from the dollar store), Joy had a counting worksheet and Grace identified insects.
Joy did some shadow matching while Grace did another riddle page.
Then Joy made a dragonfly with the pattern blocks while Grace worked on another addition worksheet.
We got out the Bananagram tiles and matched letters to words. I didn’t notice when I printed this out, but the letters are lowercase and the tiles are uppercase – Grace did great! Joy matched three letters and then went to play.
We went outside to play, and saw a spider in a web. We were watching closely at just the right time and saw a bug land in the web. The spider jumped to the bug, wrapped it up and took it back to the center of the web. It was so cool! (I wish I had run in to grab my pro camera, but if I had I would have missed the whole thing.)
